Affordable Energy Calculator

See how much you could save on your energy bills by using the Affordable Energy Calculator. Don’t forget to share the results with your MP to put pressure on them to change energy legislation. We’d also love you to share the results with us in the comments section of this page.

UK homes are the worst in terms of heat and insulation across Western Europe, with over 19 million poorly insulated homes. This means UK residents need more energy to heat their homes, and turn it costs more money. It doesn’t have to be this way.

If the government implement energy-saving measures, the policies could boost our economy by £7 billion annually. These solutions include, insulating homes; using renewables rather than gas; and ensuring a just transition for workers in the fossil fuels industries so nobody gets left behind.

These would protect us from future energy crises, keep our homes warmer, lower energy bills, and help tackle the climate crisis.

  3. My Grandson is working on this project at the UEA and sent me the affordable energy calculator. I cannot believe the state of this country these days. I could save a thousand Great British Pounds if the government decided to help anyone other than themselves for once.

  4. Found out I could save little over £2000 a year by 2030 in my rental property near NR4 if the government got behind this!

  5. I did this today and saw I could save over £1500 on my energy bills. This is so much more than I thought, I think everyone should give this calculator a go.
